A one day workshop that is an excellent starting point for those who are new to transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) research.

The workshop covers:

  • The physiology of transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) and the differences between transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) and transcranial random noise stimulation (tRNS)
  • How to prepare a tES study, including electrode preparation, setting stimulation parameters and blinding options
  • Safety principles and contraindications in tES studies
  • Discussion sessions on how to integrate tES into your research programme
